SUDDEN DEATH.

Saloon-Keeper Cassidy’s Spree Came to a Fatal Ending After Nine Months. M. J. Cassidy, a saloon-keeper at 613 Mission street, was found dead in bed yesterday morning in the room which he had occupied as a bed-chamber back of the saloon. William Owens sleeps in the same building and was accustomed to awaken Cassidy every morning. Hearing no response to his knock he forced the door open and found Cassldy dead. The deceased was a native of Enniskillen, Ireland, 45 years old. He had been in robust health, but had been drinking to excess for the past nine months. The indications are that alcoholism was the cause of death.
